Afternoon Nostalgia

Hello everybody! Recently, I found out Taylor Swift is going on tour. Growing up, Taylor Swift's music is all I listened to in my childhood. I have a question to ask you guys, do you have a certain song or artist that brings you back? I am a huge Taylor Swift fan so finding out she is going back on tour is a big surprise to me, I was usually too young to go to her concerts. Now that I am of the age, I am excited to see her perform at Allegiant Stadium next year! I love music from the 2000s and 2010s, it makes me jealous some people got to see the artists at their prime. There is just something so comforting about nostalgia.

  3. Going back on older music that was made before I even was born The B-52's were a great band and recently they announced their farewell tour with KC and the Sunshine band. I never knew of these bands during the original release dates for their most known songs but their song use in early 2000's movies.

  5. Oh wow! This is such a time stamp of a blog. I grew up listening to 70's, 80's and 90's rock, balladas, rancheras and etc. Nostalgia for me is completely different from anyone in class. Listening to music on cassette tapes and CD's is nostalgia for me because generation Z of today will not know what we had to do to listen to music.

  6. 80's 90's man there is so many. I just got to see Keith Sweat on Friday and then Saturday night went to see Jo Koy and he finished the show with Boyz II Men. I also have a concert planned in February with The Jets, Atlantic Star, All For One to just name a few. I was feeling like I was back in high school all over.

  7. You're very lucky! I've never been to the Allegiant Stadium. Or seen a concert in America. Every time I drive past the stadium, I always think of BTS because of their performances on April 15 & 16. It's soooo mindblowing to think about the fact that I was only 10-15 miles away from the biggest boy group worldwide. Britney Spears' "Oops!...I Did It Again" album brings back heavy nostalgia because I used to sing it so much when I was small, and I'm talking 4-5 years old. The song "Lucky" is the most memorable for me <3

  9. People are like wine they only get more refined with age! I feel like it is fortunate that you get to see her now, you get to see the experience that is a refined Taylor Swift. A song that brings me back would be Angel by Shaggy, it was one of my mother's favorite songs and it brings me back to a childhood memory. I hope you enjoy the concert and may it create even more happier memories.

  11. I'm an old soul, so music from the 60's-90s are nostalgic to me. I do like some of Taylor Swift's music, but I'm not a huge fan. I'd be more delighted to go see Phil Collins, Elton John, John Cougar Mellencamp, etc. Every generation has their favorites. You are lucky to have tickets to next years show. Enjoy to the max!
