Seasons Greetings!

I love the holiday season. My favorite holiday has always been Christmas. Not because of the gifts and the sales, it has been because of the weather and the music. I love the movies, the music, and the ambiance of Christmas. The holidays give me comfort. I am also a baker, so I tend to make a lot more treats during this time. I would say I am an amateur, I do not make baking my career. Just a hobby that I share with friends and family. In my culture, on Christmas we make tamales. A corn-based savory treat filled with either beans, meat, cheese, and/or sweet filling. They are really good, but a little complicated to make! I would hope that you guys would try it one day. I love the holiday season!

Overwhelming Schedules

Recently, I have been so busy with work and school that I hardly have any time for myself. Because the holidays are coming up, I am working extra shifts at my job. This leaves me hardly any time to do homework and going home late. Due to lack of sleep, I am unable to focus in my classes. I am trying my best to keep up but unfortunately it is a challenge for me. I eventually hope things get easier for me and hopefully my mental health fixes, little by little. I think this is my reminder to just take a breath and what will, will.

3.5.1 Formatting Images - 3.5.2 Formatting Shapes

Is there a certain way to format images and shapes? I chose this topic because I never really knew there was a specific way to do so.

2.2.4 Common Operating Systems

I chose this topic because it stood out to me the most. As I was reading through the lab, I saw something called Linux. What is Linux? I am very familiar with iOS, Android, Windows, and Apple. I decided to take the time to research what Linux was. Apparently, it is a popular operating system that manages our memory and storage. Linux is used mostly by companies and businesses, it is secure and amazing for their servers. IT professionals also recommend Linux. Chromebooks use Linux and Android devices as well. Linux was created in 1991 by Linus Torvalds, way later than Microsoft Windows which was created in the 1980s. I thought the only operating systems were Windows, iOS, Apple, and Android. I have a laptop that runs Windows 11, so maybe Linux is in my device as well. Researching about the topic made me wonder what else do we use that runs Linux.
